The Kingdom of Fu Fu was born from the imagination of Dr. Bob Spalding and brought to visual life through the vibrant artistry of Chris Lyle atop scenic Signal Mountain, Tennessee.
Dr. Bob Spalding, Jr.
Author, Inventor & Chief Fuologist
Dr. Spalding is a practicing podiatrist in Chattanooga, Tennessee and resides on nearby Signal Mountain with his wife Gina and daughter Katherine. A prolific inventor with over 28 products designed, manufactured, and marketed, he is also a former police officer and retired paramedic who remains actively involved in law enforcement, emergency medical training, and public health education.
The Kingdom of Fu Fu was his debut children's book, inspired by a desire to teach young readers about diversity, empathy, and the timeless truth that friends of every color are part of one human family. Dr. Spalding has also authored books on infection control in consumer care and continues to develop stories for all ages.

Chris Lyle is an acclaimed freelance artist and designer with over fourteen years of specialized experience in children's textile design and book illustration. He resides on Signal Mountain, Tennessee with his wife and three daughters.
When not drawing vibrant characters, Chris enjoys gardening, fine arts, and landscape design. His expressive, colorful, and joyful illustrations give the Fu Fu universe its signature charm and warmth.
